Independent evaluation by CLR Labs under ISO/IEC 30107-3 and ISO/IEC 19989-3 confirms continued conformity of Innovatrics Face Liveness with Level 2 (Substantial) presentation attack detection requirements, on our way to Level 3 (High).
Innovatrics has renewed the Level 2 certification of its Face Liveness following a new independent evaluation by CLR Labs, the biometrics evaluation laboratory of Cabinet Louis Reynaud.
The evaluation was conducted in accordance with ISO/IEC 30107-3, the international standard for PAD testing and reporting, and ISO/IEC 19989-3, which goes further by applying a formal security-evaluation methodology derived from Common Criteria to presentation attack detection (PAD).

The Substantial level corresponds to the Level of Assurance used in EU remote identity proofing frameworks, including ETSI TS 119 461 and the eIDAS regulation, making the result directly relevant for banks, telecom operators, fintech, trust service providers, and government identity programs.
As fraud techniques evolve, remote identity verification faces two distinct threats. In a presentation attack, a fraudster shows the camera an artefact like a printed photo, a screen replay, or a mask. In an injection attack, the camera is bypassed altogether, where a manipulated or synthetic video, including deepfakes, is fed into the verification system as if it came from a real camera.

Innovatrics addresses both layers of the threat. Our Face Liveness detects attacks presented in front of the camera, while Video Injection Detection verifies that the video genuinely originates from the device’s physical camera.
Building on this renewed result, Innovatrics is now actively working toward PAD and IAD Level 3 (High) certifications, extending the technology to the assurance level required under eIDAS 2.0 for the highest-risk identity verification use cases.
